Then the kids always get pjs and slippers for christmas eve. It's always fun to go to bed in new pj's. Sometimes we get them, and sometimes grandparents get them (like this year). This year was amazing because there were/are so many generious people willing to help. Due to all the chaos in our home right now, life has been interesting. There have been so many people (that we DON'T know who you are) that have made this a very special christmas. My kids LOVED when santa showed up at the door on Christmas Eve. That was just one of the very many kind acts.
Christmas day we stay home in the morning. We were going to go to my brother's in the afternoon, but due to the weather, Erik not feeling well, and me still being in my pj's we didn't make it. We just stayed home and played. It was great:) Not very many times do we ever just stay home and veg! The kids have had a great time playing with all their new stuff. My girls wanted American Dolls for Christmas (especially Witnee). She is such a little mommy. They got pretend American dolls and are ecstatic. She takes it every were she goes. The kids had a wonderful christmas day and received enough presents to keep them busy for awhile. I'm greatful for this time off school to spend time with them playing games, building legos, baking, combing dolls hair, etc. I don't take enough time to just sit down with them during the school weeks with everything going on. I've realized that I really need to do a better job of this. AND so I will try to do better:) I think the kids really enjoy not being on a schedule as well. Anyways, it's been great and we are loving the snow (even though I can't do much). After the holidays are over, I will hit the diet hard. Ugh!!!!!!oh well. Happy Holidays.
